- Attach a personal note to the Pledge and send it to Members of Congress and candidates for Congress.
- Check back at this webpage frequently. As Members of Congress and candidates sign the pledge for a Balanced Budget Amendment to our Constitution, we will add them to a "thank you" list.

Amendment convention
Article V of our nation's Constitution, empowers citizens in each state to demand a Balanced Budget Amendment Convention. The interactive map on this site allows you to see progress as we move to the 34 states (2/3 majority) that we need. An FAQ about the Amendment Convention is here.
To join the call for a Balanced Budget Amendment Convention:
- Use the map's legend to determine if your state has Adopted a convention call.
- Roll your cursor over a state and click to find out how to contact state officials.
- Call, email, or write to your state leaders and demand that they
support a Balanced Budget Amendment Convention. Download our sample message here.
- Keep checking back. The map will be updated as states join the cause.
